The objective of this course is to encourage and increase Computational Creativity and Computational Thinking in the students as per their interests. The assignments are designed in this course to encourage exploration of Key Computational Concepts, Computational Practices, and Computational Perspectives using Scratch.

Scratch is a programming language and online community that enables young students to create their own interactive stories, games, and animation and shares them with others.

The course is designed on the finding of the research as described on the http://scratched.gse.harvard.edu/ct/defining.html

This course will have 8 lessons/assignments by which children will learn Computational Concepts, Computational Practices, and Computational Perspective using Scratch.

This is new course lessons will be added on weekly basis.

Note for the Parents:

  • Gmail account is required to access Google Classroom
  • A desktop computer is preferable for this course or a Tablet with a Bluetooth Keyboard may work as well please inquire. Please visit frequently asked question (FAQ) for more information Please visit frequently asked question (FAQ) for more information
  • Scratch is a programming language and the online community, Children don’t require an account to use scratch over the internet. Scratch Apps are available for offline programming.
  • Children are encouraged to contact us by Google Classroom if more help is required. We are committed to providing as much help we can using online Skype or Google Meet on Sunday.
